A Sacristan sets up for Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist by preparing all the books, vessels, offertory, and incense when appropriate.

The holy preparations in which Sacristans are entrusted are the basic framework for the beautiful and sacred objects that are used and carried out before, during, and after the Mass.

If you are interested in training to become a Sacristan, please contact Mike Cappelli at Sacristans@SaintAlphonsusWexford.org or call the parish office at 724-935-1151.

After training and receiving their clearances through the Safe Environment / Protecting God’s Children program, Sacristans sign up online to serve at the Masses that fit their schedule. Click here for the online schedule.
