St. Alphonsus Parish will present its 16th annual Passion Play – “Make Us Believers” – on Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24, in the Ryan Center on our parish campus at 201 Church Road in Wexford.

“We have one of the best casts we’ve ever had,” said Mary Heagy, parish music director and Passion Play director. “This is going to be a superb production. We have over 80 cast members, musicians and crew from 11 local churches. This production will lift your spirit while compelling you to share the events of the Passion.”

Friday’s performance will be at 8 p.m. Guests are encouraged to turn the evening into “dinner and a show” by first enjoying St. Alphonsus’ Fish Fry, which runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Saturday’s performance at 7 p.m. will be preceded by a 6 p.m. reception with hors d’oeuvres in the lobby of the Ryan Center. All are invited.

The musical was written by Bob Summers, the former youth ministry director at St. Alphonsus. The play takes us through the life of Jesus, starting with His grand entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday to the events of Holy Thursday through Easter Sunday.

Admission to the play is free; freewill offerings are appreciated.
