Trivia Night 2017

Thank you to all who made our Third Annual Trivia Night a grand success on Saturday, Feb. 4. We made a $15,200 profit! Special thanks goes to Beth Hackmann, who organized the event for the third year in a row, and Audrey Dunn. They worked tirelessly to ensure the event was a success.

2016 Harvest Home Dinner & Festival on Sept 11

Our traditional Harvest Home Dinner & Festival was held under gorgeous sunny skies on Sept. 11. Our delicious dinner featured grilled chicken, ham, pulled pork and side dishes made from produce fresh from local farms. The festival events included a Chinese Auction, games, festival foods, a Country Store, Treasures from the Attic and Selfie Scene. We thank all of our volunteers and donors who ensured the weekend was a success!

2016 Harvest Home 5K

For the first time, St. Alphonsus kicked off its annual Harvest Home celebration with a 5K run/walk in North Park. Nearly 300 runners and walkers participated in the First Annual St. Alphonsus Harvest Home 5K Twilight Run/Walk on Friday, Sept. 9, in North Park. A One-Mile Kids’ Fun Run kicked off activities at 6 p.m.; the 5K followed about a half hour later.

2016 Harvest Home Vegetable Prep

When you prepare a farm-to-table meal -- as we do with our Harvest Home Dinner on Sunday, Sept. 11 -- it takes a lot of preparation. Our volunteers wash and cut up lots of vegetables for our delicious dinner.

2016 Harvest Home Chinese Auction Preparation

Our Chinese Auction is one of the most popular features of our annual Harvest Home Festival. For months in advance, our volunteers collect generous donations from our parishioners and local businesses. Volunteers put together over 60 baskets this year -- each valued at more than $100.

2016 Harvest Home - Making Applesauce

The St. Alphonsus family comes together days before our Harvest Home Dinner to make applesauce. Our volunteers slice dozens of apples that have been donated by Shenot Farm & Market and Soergel Orchards. Then the kitchen crew takes over to turn the apples into Harvest Home Applesauce.

2016 Mission Trip to Pikeville, KY

Our Youth Group and adult volunteers spent nearly a week in Pikeville, KY, helping people with various needs.

2016 Hoops for Life

About 60 youths learned basketball skills as well as lessons for life in June at our Hoops for Life camp in the Ryan Center

2015 The 125th Day of School (March 13)

As St. Alphonsus School celebrates its 125th anniversary, its students were encouraged to wear historic or futuristic uniforms on Friday, March 13 — the 125th day of school. An afternoon parade in the Ryan Center featured students dressed in what they imagined school uniforms looked like 125 years ago or what they will look like 125 years in the future. The previous day, the students celebrated with a "Happy 125th Birthday" cake in the cafeteria.

2015 Father Kevin's Installation Mass on Feb. 21

Bishop David Zubik installed Father Kevin C. Fazio as St. Alphonsus' new pastor on Feb. 21, 2015. A reception followed in the Ryan Center.

2015 Farewell Mass & Reception, Feb. 8

Father Peter Murphy and Father Edward Czemerda concelebrated the 12:15pm Mass on Sunday, Feb. 8. A Farewell Reception after Mass was held in the Ryan Center. Both priests will take on new assignments in the diocese on Feb. 16.

2015 Children's Liturgy Recognition, Feb. 8

Volunteers in our Children's Liturgy Ministry were recognized with Certificates of Appreciation at the 10am Mass on Feb. 8.

2015 Trivia Night on Jan. 31

Our very first Trivia Night was a HUGE success on Saturday evening, Jan. 31, as the Ryan Center filled with a fun-loving crowd that had a great time while also supporting the parish and school. The event raised $24,446.
