A new Kids’ Summer Activity and Team Building Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, featuring activities, sports and hands-on learning centered on Blessed Francis Seelos Academy’s core values of stewardship, faith, compassion and leadership.

The fee is $35 per child with a family maximum of $90. Extended day care is available until 5 p.m. for an additional $10.

This special day is being held in conjunction with the St. Alphonsus 2018 Golf Classic. Proceeds from both events will benefit the Seelos Academy Learning Enrichment Fund.

The day is designed and led by Andrew Ohm, the physical education and health science teacher at Seelos Academy. He is a certified personal trainer and has 12 years of experience in running kids’ summer camps.

Activities will include hiking, nature, plants, constellations and safety. Team building/STEM activities will center on building towers, rockets, and boats and experimenting with them. There also will be An Amazing Race Scavenger Hunt, exercise activities and nutrition, trust building with blindfold games and water balloon tosses.

The camp is open to children entering grades 1—8 in the fall of 2018. Graduating eighth graders from the class of 2018 will serve as helpers.

Children are to bring a packed lunch; the camp will provide healthy morning and afternoon snacks and water.

The day camp is open to all children in the area, so reserve your spot early at SaintAlphonsusWexford.org/kids and invite a friend outside of the Seelos community to join in the fun too.  Deadline to register is June 4.
