From Our Pastor – Bulletin Message for Sept. 16, 2018
Harvest Home Weekend 2018 will certainly go down as a memorable one … from a record turnout of over 400 people at the Friday evening 5K Twilight Fun Run/Walk, to the horse rides in the rain on Saturday evening, to the rain deluge all day Sunday!
I am so grateful to be a part of such a fantastic community of faithful servants of God, able to adapt to the adverse conditions while welcoming all of those who visited us for the weekend. Despite the weather – and the added stresses and anxieties of having to move the grilling of food to underneath the rectory deck as well as moving the ENTIRE festival inside the school – there remained many smiles on many faces throughout.
Thank you from the middle of my heart to ALL OF YOU who volunteered your time, efforts, and energy this past weekend.
From one big event to the next:
If possible, please keep the evening of Wednesday, October 3, open on your calendars for our next Faith on Fire event, welcoming Rev. Thomas Colucci as our featured speaker. Father Tom is a priest of the Archdiocese of New York. Prior to entering seminary, he was a school teacher, Ironman triathlete, cross-country cyclist, and New York City firefighter who was present at Ground Zero on Sept. 11, 2001. He will share many of his stories and experiences of life in his presentation titled, “Always Hopeful.”
Please join us for an evening of music, food, fellowship, and prayer!
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Kevin C. Fazio
