Easter Continues

As the Easter season continues, we will be celebrating First Holy Communions (the weekend of May 6-7), May Crownings, Mother’s Day, and end-of-school-year celebrations and ceremonies.  There is a lot of activity packed into these 50 days of Easter!

Additionally, the On Mission for the Church Alive! initiative continues to take shape.  On May 11, our On Mission Team Members will join me, and other pastors and team members from nearby North Hills parishes at a meeting when the latest “parish groupings” will be presented and discussed. In this phase of On Mission, every parish will be in only one grouping. While no final decisions have been made, the parish reconfigurations are beginning to point in more specific directions. As these groupings are announced, there will be opportunities for feedback from all of us.

On Sunday evening, May 21, beginning at 6 p.m. with a Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration on the west (new) side of the church, we will again gather to discuss the “parish grouping” that is being proposed for St. Alphonsus Church.  Please consider participating and experiencing this opportunity to express your thoughts, concerns, and hopes for the future of our parish and our diocese.

We will update you about how to best offer your feedback through bulletin and E-news announcements, and during this gathering.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Kevin
