St. Alphonsus has been paired with St. Alexis as a proposed parish grouping in the On Mission for the Church Alive! process and we need your feedback on this proposal.

Parish groupings are designed to accommodate the declining number of diocesan priests, from the 211 priests currently serving in active ministry to a projected 80-90 priests available for ministry in parishes by 2025.

The Sts. Alphonsus-Alexis proposal keeps both campuses open, with two priests assigned to the grouping. By 2025, however, the proposal calls for one priest. A final decision by Bishop Zubik on parish groupings for the entire diocese is scheduled for Spring 2018.

More than 30 people who attended an On Mission gathering in the church on Sunday evening, May 21, offered their feedback after hearing Father Kevin talk about the proposed St. Alphonsus-St. Alexis grouping. This feedback will be forwarded to the diocese.
